Masta Ace and producer Marco Polo first teamed up in 2004 on the song "Do It Man," and again on "Nostalgia." Their chemistry was apparent and they began discussing doing an entire album together. More than a decade later, their schedules aligned, and they joined forces to make A Breukelen Story. The album is named after the original Dutch spelling of Brooklyn, the New York City burrough that profoundly shaped both men. They sit down for an extensive interview that touches on everything from how the sound of Hip-Hop has changed over the years to gentrification to the dangers of processed foods.
